1. What we collect

• Account details: your email, your name, and how you sign in (email and password, Sign in with Apple or Google).
• What you create: letters, doodles, photos, moods, answers to questions, check-ins, dates you save, your character and your boat.
• Your connection: the boat you share with your partner and its invite code.
• Subscription status: whether you have lovelee pro (never your card or payment details).
• Device details for notifications (a push token) and basic app events used to run subscriptions and the paywall.

2. How we use it

• To run lovelee and keep your boat in sync between your phones.
• To show what you send to your partner, and to send notifications you've allowed.
• To provide lovelee pro and restore purchases.
• To answer support emails, and to keep the app working, secure and improving.

We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.

3. What your partner sees

Anything you send to your shared boat (letters, doodles, photos, moods, answers, gifts) can be seen by your partner on that boat. Please don't share anything you don't want them to see.

4. Services that help us

We use a few trusted services to run lovelee. They process data only to provide their service to us:

• Google Firebase: accounts, database, file storage and server functions.
• Apple and Google: sign in, payments and push notifications.
• Superwall: subscriptions and the pro screen.
• OneSignal: delivering notifications to older versions of the app.
• Fernand: support emails and the help chat.
• DataFast: privacy-friendly analytics on our website only (not in the app).

5. Payments

Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your card or payment details; we only keep whether your pro is active.

6. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers, and access to it is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

7. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app's settings (how to delete your account). Letters, doodles, photos and answers you already sent stay on the boat you shared, because they're on your partner's side too; email us if you want those removed as well.

8. Children

lovelee isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you're under 13, please don't use lovelee.

9. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California) you may have more rights, and we'll honor them. Email us and we'll help.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in an important way, we'll tell you in the app or by email.
